Key Signatures

Here’s a quick list of key signatures

A few tricks to remember key signatures (but note that these tricks don’t work for the key of C or F):
1. Flats – key signature is second to last flat.
E.g. Key of E flat can be spotted because the second to last flat in the key signature is an E.

2. Sharps – key signature is half a step above last sharp
E.g. Key of G because F# is last sharp.
Note – C# is tricky ‘cos the last note is B#. However, half a tone above B# is C. So the key signature is C#.
